What Is It?
Narrowing of coronary arteries by atherosclerotic plaque. Causes angina, heart attack, and heart failure. Managed medically and with cardiology collaboration.
How Is It Diagnosed?
EKG, stress test, coronary CT angiography, or cardiac catheterization. Risk stratification with ASCVD calculator.
How Is It Treated?
Aspirin, high-intensity statins, ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers. Nitrates for angina. Revascularization (PCI or CABG) for significant disease.
Tests and Imaging Typically Needed
Lipid panel, BMP, CBC, EKG, troponin if acute, stress test, echocardiogram.

Office visit: $95-$150. Stress test: $400-$800. Cardiology co-management required for most patients.
